Description
Agrobs Alpenheu 12,5kg
The smell of hay evokes pleasant thoughts in many people.
The smell of freshly mown grass, meadow flowers and herbs also reminds one of warm summer days.
However, hay is much more important to our horses!
Hay is a very important and fibre and should form the basis of any horse-friendly ration.
Horses receive a large quantity of hay every day as a basis for their diet, because the horse’s digestive system is geared to extracting energy from grasses and herbs.
Hay is indispensable for the horse’s intestinal health, it increases chewing activity and promotes wear of the teeth in conjunction with a slow feed intake.
This makes it clear how important hay is in horse feed.
AGROBS Alpenheu
A treasure of nature are the meadows of the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, where AGROBS AlpenHeu comes from.
The altitude and the calcareous soil form an ideal location for the growth of species-rich meadows with a high proportion of herbs.
AlpenHeu is harvested at the right mowing height.
The mowing time is determined by the vegetation and lies between the end of the grass flower and the beginning of seed formation.
This ensures the desired high crude fibre content for horses and, at the same time, a low protein and fibre content.
