Pre Alpin Bio Wiesencobs 20kg
PRE ALPINE Wiesencobs are an ideal base feed in extra large Cobsform.
They are made from a unique mix of more than 60 different grasses and herbs from the Bavarian Alps.
The continuously monitored meadows are harvested at the right stage of maturity.
This guarantees a low protein and high fibre content for optimum feeding of horses.
Ideal as;
- basic feed (100% hay replacement)
- upgrade of hay, silage and pasture grass
- concentrate replacement
- as a crude fibre gift for horses with tooth loss
- to improve lower digestible crude fibre intake
- respiratory problems caused by dust and mould in roughage
- for older horses that are losing weight
- To increase moisture absorption
- To mix medicines
Feeding guideline
- as basic feed (100 % hay substitute): approximately 1.5 kg per 100 kg ideal body weight per day
- as concentrated feed: 1.2 kg substitute approximately 1 kg of grain
- for enhancement of the basic feed: 1 kg substitutes 1 kg of hay
- introduce new feed gradually
- per 1 kg soak with 1.5 to 3 liters of water
RWDH recommends softening the cobs through soaking.
